Review system
Reviewing has an essential role in ensuring the achievement of the purpose and objectives of the Press by evaluating the manuscripts submitted for acceptance to the Editorial board in terms of originality and quality of their content.
Although in the last years, the reviewing process has drawn some critics, it remains the only method widely accepted in national and international academic field, but also an indispensable tool in the scientific publishing steps.
At least two independent referees from the Press’ list or outside experts considered suited to review the paper that are selected by the Editorial board on their own initiative or from a list of four reviewers proposed by the author/ coordinating author examine the manuscripts sent to publication.
The reviewing may takes maximum 3 months and the identity of manuscript’s author/authors and reviewers is kept anonymous.
The Editorial board is the only one that designates the reviewers for a certain manuscript and knows both the identity of author/authors and reviewers.
The review process will be managed by a designated editor or the editor chosen by the coordinating author.
Authors will be informed of the outcome of the evaluation to the address stated when sending the manuscript.
At any time during the review process recommendations for revising the paper (form, content or both) could be asked to the author/coordinating author.
A manuscript could be:
|
1. accepted for publication; 2. accepted for publication if modifications have been made; 3. reviewed after major modifications; 4. rejected for publication. |
