Conference "Mathematics and Experiment" held by Professor Gabriel Prăjitură, State University of New York Brockport (SUNY Brockport).
The conference will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 2 p.m., in room 016, Faculty of Engineering of UCB.Dr. Cenap Ozel (from Department of Mathematics, University of Abant Izzet Baysal, Bolu, Turkey) will visit our university for the period of April 25 - April 29 2009, in the framework of Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility Programme. He will give two talks:
- Fredholm maps and Complex Cobordism of Hilbert Manifolds - 27.04.2009 (Engineering Faculty of UCB).
- On Turkish Higher Education System - 28.04.2009 (Engineering Faculty of UCB).
The student national competition Traian Lalescu was held at University Politehnica Bucharest in the period May 30 - June 1, 2008. Our university was represented by a team of first year students advised by Professor Miodrag Iovanov. The students obtained the following awards:
- Lavinia- Georgeta Bogdea - I Prize and honor diploma.
- Ionuţ Popescu - III Prize
- Roxana-Elena Stăniloiu - honor (mention)
At the scientific communication session our students presented the following papers:
- Mihai Alexandru Ciortan, Lavinia- Georgeta Bogdea, Olivia Maria, Ionuţ Popescu, Grafuri tratate matematic şi informatic. (adviser: lecturer Adrian Runceanu)
- Marian-Silviu Tălmăcel, Oana-Adriana Basarabă, Cristian-Laurenţiu Giorgi, Roxana-Elena Stăniloiu, Simulare şi vizualizare în MAPLE. Exemple. (adviser: assoc. prof. Mădălina Buneci)
- Bogdan Covercă, Problema lui Dirichlet pentru cerc. (adviser: prof. Miodrag Iovanov)
Professor Jose Maria Martinez Ansemil (from Departamento de Analisis Matematico, Facultad de Ciencias Matematicas, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spania) will visit our university between November 06-11, 2007. He will give a talk in the seminar on Convolution algebras associated with groupoids and applications:
- Fourier Analysis and applications to MP3, GPS and images - 8.11.2007, 1 PM, room L112 (Economics Faculty of UCB).
Dr. Piotr Stachura (from Department of Mathematical Methods in Physics of Warsaw University ) will visit our university between July 20-28, 2006. He will give a talk in the seminar on Convolution algebras associated with groupoids and applications:
- Groupoid morphisms and convolution algebras - 26.07.2006, 16-18, room A018 (Engineering Faculty of UCB).
The International Workshop on Operator Models and Applications - OMA 2006 will be jointly organized by West University of Timişoara, University of Bucharest and University Constantin Brâncuşi of Târgu-Jiu within the framework of the CEEX project The Promotion of Scientific Research on: Operator Models and Applications, code PR-D11-PT00-48/2005. The workshop will be held in Timişoara (Romania) between June 29 - July 4, 2006.
Professor Tzanko Donchev (from Department of Mathematics of University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Sofia, Bulgaria) will visit our university in the second part of May 2006. He will give a talk in the seminar on Differential inclusions and Stochastic control:
- Singular Perturbations of Control Systems - 18.05.2006, 16-18, room A018 (Engineering Faculty of UCB).
Professor Constantin Buşe (from Department of Mathematics of West University of Timişoara) will give two talks in the seminar on Differential inclusions and Stochastic control:
