New European perspectives for education: Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu along with European partner universities starts a new Erasmus+ KA220 HED project

Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu (UCB) proudly announces the launch of its new European project Erasmus+ KA220-HED “Talent Inflow 4 Digital Minds” (TI4DM), project code: 2025-1-RO01-KA220-HED-000355192, an international partnership with European universities dedicated to enhancing digital literacy and professional attitudes among higher education students, including those facing socio-economical and geographical barriers and disabilities.

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme – Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education, with a total budget of €400,000, and will run for 24 months (September 2025 – August 2027).

The consortium brings together four higher education institutions across Europe:

  • Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu (Romania) – Coordinator,
  • Lietuvos Inžinerijos Kolegija (Lithuania) – Partner,
  • Instituto Politécnico de Santarém (Portugal) – Partner,
  • Goce Delčev University of Štip (Republic of North Macedonia) – Partner.

Together, the partners will develop an open-source online platform and mobile app, titled “Elevate Digital You!”, integrating 10 interactive educational courses covering key areas such as digital communication, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, project management and programming fundamentals.

The platform and mobile app will also include interactive features such as an AI-powered interview chat, an interactive employability map, and a section dedicated to employability opportunities offered by local stakeholders. Upon courses completion, the students involved will gain digital certifications endorsed by the participating universities.

The TI4DM project aims to:

  • Enhance digital literacy and professional skills among more than 600 students,
  • Bridge the gap between higher education and labour market, connecting 40 local employers with digitally trained young people,
  • Foster excellence teaching through academic opportunities for universities staff,
  • Develop inclusive and accessible educational tools supporting students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Expected outcomes include:

  • 600 international endorsed digital certificates for all partners’ students,
  • 40 Europass certificates for professors attending the Blended Intensive Program,
  • 80 Youthpass certificates for participants attending the Social Hackathon and E+ ambassadors TCs,
  • Strengthened cooperation with 40 local employers from all partner countries,
  • 1 online volume of abstracts published upon international conference
  • National employability fairs
  • Broader visibility of Erasmus+ and EU values across partner regions.

Through TI4DM, Constantin Brâncuși University reaffirms its commitment to innovation, inclusion, and excellence in higher education. The project supports the digital transformation of academia while preparing students for the future European digital workforce.
